Peruška
Peruška is a personal project I created during my studies in Lisbon. It is a short publication - zine. The zine is made out of collages designed by me and personal stories written by Jelena Perušina Pavlov in the Serbian language. I created collages from old family photos, photos taken with a digital camera and graphic elements. Jelena wrote stories based on the collages. Therefore visuals and text are closely related. On the other hand, each story has its own identity.
I choose colours, photos, shapes and typography based on the atmosphere I felt from a raw picture. Playing with so many different elements was challenging but also satisfying because I was able to emphasise elements I found important and bring stories alive. As a consequence, I created stronger impressions for the reader. Peruška is a dynamic and a little bit kitsch publication which connects the past and the present in a surreal way.
