Worms are better than Grasshoppers
What will we eat tomorrow? Will Earth support our population? What about the meat industry? Will we all be vegan? Will we be hungry? The questions of how we will eat in the future, so that we will all be full and that we will not suffer/destroy the planet in the process, are increasingly present. Could the insect-meat of the future be the answer? Insects contain iron, minerals, vitamins and a very high proportion of proteins.
At the thought of chewing a cricket, a worm or a grasshopper, we have a problem. We're sorry! Through a series of workshops, I explored the emotionally charged relationship between us and insects. I was interested in how strongly prejudices against insects as food are ingrained in us and whether they can be changed. The essence of said relationship is captured in the book.
